Employment Position Available
The Black Hawk School District is seeking a passionate and qualified educator to join our elementary team. Located in the scenic rural landscape of Southwest Wisconsin, Black Hawk Elementary offers a close-knit, supportive environment with small class sizes, typically ranging from 10 to 18 students.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Developmental Expertise: Demonstrate a deep, nuanced understanding of the social, emotional, and cognitive developmental stages of elementary aged students. You will be expected to design and implement age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Instructional Innovation: Serve as an enthusiastic, driven leader in the classroom, utilizing innovative strategies to engage a diverse student body and meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with fellow grade-level teachers and the broader elementary staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational journey for our students.
- Curriculum Alignment: Possess the ability to effectively align curriculum objectives with the unique developmental milestones of kindergarteners, ensuring every child is met where they are.

About the District
Black Hawk School District serves 370 students across ECH-12th grades at a single site, providing a unique "all-in-one" community feel. We are conveniently located in South Wayne, WI, within a 50-minute drive of Madison and Platteville, WI, as well as Freeport, IL, and Dubuque, IA.

Part-time Employment Position Available
The School District of Black Hawk is currently seeking qualified candidates for a part-time custodial position.
Typical Work Schedule:
· When school is in session:
3:30 pm to 7:30 pm (flexible)
· Non-school days during the school year – 4 hours/day - flexible, will discuss with applicant
· During the summer - Monday–Thursday–5 hours days, flexible, will discuss with applicant
Compensation:
· 20 hours per week
· Starting wage: $18.52/hour
Anticipated Start Date: immediately
Must be 16 years or older to apply.
