The School District of Black Hawk has the following position available for the 2025-2026 school year:

Black Hawk Schools is seeking an energetic, creative, and dedicated Music Teacher to serve a dual role. The Music Teacher and Choir Director will play a pivotal role in inspiring students through engaging music lessons for grades K–6 and leading the middle and high school choirs.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Music Instruction (Grades K–6)
    • Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons that build students’ skills in singing, rhythm, movement, and instrument exploration.
    • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
  • Choral Direction (Middle & High School)
    • Lead choir rehearsals with passion and precision, selecting and arranging repertoire that highlights student talent and meets performance standards.
    • Organize and conduct school concerts and events, ensuring each performance reflects our district’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

Part-time Employment Positions Available

The School District of Black Hawk is currently seeking qualified candidates:

The School District of Black Hawk is currently seeking qualified candidates for two part-time custodial positions.

Typical Work Schedule: 

  • When school is in session – 2 shifts available:
    • 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm or 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
  • Non-school days during the school year – 4 hours/day - flexible, will discuss with applicants
  • During the summer - Monday–Thursday–5 hours days, flexible, will discuss with applicants

Compensation:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Starting wage: $18.52/hour

Anticipated Start Date: June 2, 2025
